Work

Some of the working research topics of the team are:

    • Fabrication of NV-centers on diamond crystals/substrate.
    • Functionalization of diamond crystals with NV-centers for hyperpolarization and simultaneous detection.
    • Processes and instrumentation to work on complex atomic compositions in diamonds.
    • Generation of much more homogeneous DC magnetic fields than those commonly used.
    • Design of microwave antennas for spin manipulation.
    • Processes and approaches for incrementing the frequency of hyperpolarization cycles.
    • Improvement of the sensitivity of NV-center magnetometers from the point of view of quantum system control.
    • Use of the NV-centers as hyperpolarization platforms.
    • Design of sensors based on NVs centers (mainly magnetometers) for use in real life applications beyond the different proofs of concepts already demonstrated (mainly in laboratory environments).
    • Increasement of the performance of sensors based on NV-centers.
    • Application of NV-center technologies for identification devices (or quantum tags).
    • Advancement of redundant methods of protection for quantum identification devices.
    • Implementation of QRNG, Quantum Random Number Generation, in NV-centers.
